Description

The Question that Matters is:

What is CHRO’s expanding leadership accountability to architect the Organization of the Future where AI is everywhere? Are you AI Ready?

  • What is going to be the Labour Impact due to AI? How well prepared are you for the Big AI market shift?
  • What are the new skills CHRO’s must build to attract, develop and retain new AI and Data Science Skills to modernize their organizations?
  • What are the new jobs that will be needed to build an AI Mature and Capable Organization? (Dell has a Chief Curation Officer, TD has a Chief AI Officer, Manulife has a Chief Data Science Officer, SunTrust has SVP Benefits to include AI Well Being, Kraft Heitz is intensifying expertise in AI HR Analytics, etc.).
  • What are the Ethical and Privacy Risk Considerations of AI that a CHRO must be aware of to ensure their organizations are governing AI effectively?

Breakfast Session Information

The Bedford Consulting Group, an international recruiting firm, and SalesChoice Inc., an Award-Winning Artificial Intelligence Software as a Service and an AI Consulting Services company, recently completed CEO and Chief HR Officer leadership dialogue sessions with over 100 senior leaders in diverse industry sectors. Currently, AI deployments are in their early adoption phase, with less than 17% of Canadian C level leaders and less than 30% of USA C-level executives deploying AI and realizing results.

According to Gartner’s report 85% of enterprises will be using AI by 2020. Just like the internet explosion catalyzed organizations to create corporate websites, leverage e-Commerce or advance into smarter infrastructures, companies will start to infuse AI into existing applications and create completely new products and services and ways of working to create a modern organization. Canadian companies are starting to use AI and understand what AI is capable of versus just talking about it.

In a recent report on the future of work from McKinsey, the report suggests that as many as 375 million workers around the world may need to switch occupational categories and learn new skills because approximately 60% of jobs will have least one-third of their work activities able to be automated.

A key takeaway from our working sessionswas the recognized need that to lead in AI and to modernize Canadian companies, there is an increasing need for CHRO’s to help to design the Organization of the Future, understand the impacts that AI will have on the new work environment, and increase their leadership skills in ethics, and privacy to ensure AI is Trusted and used for Good.

Join Howard Pezim, Managing Director and Co-Founder of The Bedford Consulting Group and Dr. Cindy Gordon, CEO and Founder, SalesChoice to share their new Organization of the Future research on Transparent AI and discuss its relevance to ensure AI for Good, and underline the key ethics and risk requirements for AI Governance Maturity.
